I am grateful.

I want to express my sincere gratitude to my sons Jett and Regis, both growing and experiencing alongside me beneath the crescent moons over the last three years, often falling asleep in my bed while I worked late. They witnessed me creating and wanted to participate in their creative ways. Both are always involved in reflecting on our next beginnings weighing in with questions, concerns - excitement for a new season, the new ideas, and the next experience.
I am so grateful for my parents and Elder Brenda Mason. They have been grounding me in my identity and cheering me on from the beginning, sharing many teachings and thoughts of inspiration with me, being my sounding board on my next steps, believing me with such love and confidence.
A big thank you to my cohort adviser, Dr. Mari Pighini, who invited me to join the MEd program, supporting me in making this journey a reality. Dr. Mari Pighini has been a significant inspirational mentor in my life over the last four years. Her ways of allowing space for inclusive, collaborative and heart teachings have provided me for the first time a positive and safe learning experience.
My professor and graduating project supervisor, Dr. Iris Berger, has taught, guided, coached, corrected and worked alongside me to ensure my growth throughout this program. Her invitations to publish speak to her passion for providing all students with opportunities to contribute at their highest levels, opening opportunities that further inspire and enhance our profession. Dr. Iris Berger's leadership skills are graceful and knowledgeable in ways that always left me feeling very inspired and capable/confident to expand my learning in ways I had never imagined.

To Dr. Jo-ann Archibald Q’um Q’um Xiiem, I am grateful for the gift of your time, knowledge and support as the second reader to my graduating project. Thank you - Meegwetch!
I want to show my peer reviewer, Marie Anne Hudson, gratitude for not only supporting my many edits and willingness to engage over text with new ideas. MA's bravery and courage to navigate her MEd with a sudden hearing loss she endured before joining our cohort has been very inspiring. MA has gifted me with so many rich experiences of inclusive practices that I will cherish and ensure to use in my career. And best of all, I have gained a lifelong friend in MA which we will continue to grow beyond the MEd.
My fellow students have also provided endless inspiration and admiration during the duration of our MEd. I want to honour each of you in the excellent teaching practices you so generously shared with me, along with your openness to learn and engage authentically while holding a safe space for me as I shared Indigenous pedagogies.
I am very grateful for the MEd delivery method, which allowed me to work, study, and raise my two sons with few disruptions.
